The fourth installment of the Kaktus integrated communications festival — titled Idea is nothing without execution and hosted by Marketing mreža — saw Direct Media Serbia win another accolade in the Individual Works/Viral Videos category for the Čuvaj se! campaign.
The campaign run in partnership with the Association of Paraplegics and Quadriplegics of Serbia was voted one of the best individual integrated campaigns in 2017.
This year’s Kaktus awards were presented as decided by the members of an expert jury coming from both the country and the region and including our Head of Creative Voljena Daničič.
“Ideas without execution are a sin. And that’s no exaggeration. Having great ideas with no great execution is unforgivable. It’s wasted time and effort and, finally, the purpose is lost, because the idea doesn’t achieve what it came about for in the first place. Great works always have great entries, it’s as simple as that. If you have something to say, then I’m sure you don’t have a problem with how to say it. If you don’t know how to say it, then you probably don’t have a Kaktus award-worthy campaign. I will be focusing on the sum and substance. I’ll be looking at the overall effect. The campaign must have the beginning, the middle, and the end. It must be a well-rounded story. A story that has meaning, and not one meant for festival awards. The awards should be a consequence, not a goal, so all the campaigns that take a step forward and create something concrete and applicable are my favorites,” Direct Media’s Head of Creative Voljena Daničić told Marketing mreža.
Congratulations to our Creative Department and to all the winners!
