In response to the initiative launched to bring together the MarTech community, late March saw DIRECT MEDIA United Solutions host the first in a series of monthly MarTech Challenge meetups at Belgrade’s ICT Hub. The speakers included DIRECT MEDIA United Solutions’ COO and Managing Director Jovan Stojanović and Hunch founder Siniša Raković.
“Our market has a relatively small number of registered marketing start-ups, but the potential is massive. Above all, that’s due to the industry being quite particular, and knowing it well is imperative for developing advanced solutions. At the same time, we do recognize situations in our day-to-day work where involving technology would enhance processes. That’s precisely why we launched the initiative, the monthly MarTech events are meant to prompt topics and ideas that we would want to work on together in the future through sharing the experiences of the field’s most successful start-ups and of members of the marketing community, as well as insights into examples from the global market. This year we also want to vote the region’s best MarTech start-up, but we’ll talk more about this at the upcoming events,” Jovan Stojanović said.
Siniša Raković, founder of one of the most successful advertising start-ups in these areas, talked to the audience at ICT Hub about his entrepreneurial journey and explained how brands can become scalable online and how a piece of software generates hundreds of thousands ads using creative automation and personalization.
“We need as many of these initiatives as possible in order to raise awareness of marketing technologies in this region. The Serbian market has plenty room for marketing start-ups to grow, and I believe that MarTech Challenge will bring about more and more teams focusing on this area, because these initiatives can provide a platform for both companies and agencies. Hunch’s relationship with DIRECT MEDIA United Solutions is excellent, they were the first to recognize what we were doing, they opened up their process and specified what they needed. I think that this future is a bright one in every aspect and that both brands and agencies will be seeing some positive changes when it comes to new technologies,” Siniša Raković said.
The subsequent MarTech Challenge event at ICT Hub will take place in April. DIRECT MEDIA United Solutions kicked off the initiative with a view to encouraging the development of the local start-up scene and demonstrating that technology and innovation can effectively change the marketing industry.
