The first day of this year’s Kopaonik Business Forum saw two special events take place to kick off the “Serbian Davos.” In response to the Digital Serbia Initiative’s invitation, we appeared on the panel centered around start-ups as a catalyst of digital Serbia. Our Corporate Communications Manager Milica Marković talked about the innovation programs and collaboration with start-ups helmed by DIRECT MEDIA United Solutions.
“Marketing remains among the world’s fastest growing industries, even though globally it’s facing limitations imposed by traditional management. That’s why we started in-house by launching our corporate innovation program Challenge DM, with a view to boosting our employees’ entrepreneurial spirit and infusing start-up energy into our culture. This is not merely another innovation lab, an isolated activity, instead it’s a roadmap we want to follow as much as possible, rerunning the innovation process until it’s fully off the ground,” said Milica.
Speaking about the start-up companies DIRECT MEDIA United Solutions has been working with, Milica cited the examples of Hunch, TV Beat, and Videobolt and collaboration focused on smart platforms for video content production, automation, and optimization in digital advertising campaigns and analyses of TV viewers’ behavior, and that this collaboration yields faster, better, and more innovative services to clients.
“Connectivity is our keyword in the new era of our business that we kicked off by joining the United Group. That is why in the upcoming period we will be opening up to the startup community even more,” Milica said.
“Start-ups: Catalyst of Digital Serbia” was moderated by the Digital Serbia Initiative’s Zoja Kukić, who also presented the first study conducted on the start-up scene in Serbia. Milica was joined on stage by Nebojša Đurđević, Digital Serbia Initiative’s CEO, and Miodrag Bjelogrlić, Telekom Srbija’s IT Planning and Digital Transformation Director.
