DIRECT MEDIA United Solutions
Podgorica-based DIRECT MEDIA United Solutions joined in to celebrate International Coastal Cleanup Day, which took place on Saturday, September 21 in Montenegro. Alongside representatives from several non-governmental organizations (NGOs), the European Union Delegation (EU), and other nature lovers, they collected about 200 pounds of waste in poplars around Nikšić’s Krupac Lake.
Ozon and Sustainable Development Coalition representatives, as well as guardians of the Bukovica and the Zeta took part in the campaign organized by NGO Zero Waste Montenegro in partnership with NGO Naša akcija and sponsored by the EU Delegation and EU Info Center.
Plastic and glass bottles, cans, glasses, bags, and paper waste were separated in around sixty bags, and the campaign was hosted by the environmental movement Ozon.
This isn’t the first time that Podgorica-based DIRECT MEDIA United Solutions’ employees joined efforts in environmental volunteering activities. In the year that marks 15 years of DIRECT MEDIA United Solutions’ successful business, its employees in Montenegro gave their contribution to the community through donations and planting 100 trees on the Gorica hill.
Podgorica’s favorite outings spot saw new cypress, evergreen oak, pubescent oak, and manna ash seedlings pop up, planted by Podgorica-based DIRECT MEDIA United Solutions’ employees helped by JU Zelenilo and Udruženje ljubitelja Gorice, active participants in myriad campaigns intended to preserve the park’s nature.
