This year’s Direct Media Academy is titled I Have a Dream and takes place from May 15 to 18, opening its door to anyone who wants to talk about brand strategy, communication planning, research, digital, PR, social media, trends … In short, everything that does and will make up the advertising world. Innovative business and digital transformation are the topics to be tackled by the Academy’s special guests—world-class experts trailblazing the world of communication Faris Yakob, co-founder of the itinerant strategy and innovation consultancy Genius/Steals, that works with brands, agencies, and start-ups around the world, and Jonas Kjellberg, co-creator of Skype.
Where the advertising world is going and what moves await us in the near future will be answered by the first module Branding and brand marketing strategy, which will be delivered by Mitja Tuškej, Managing Director of Direct Media Slovenia. The program is intended for marketing fans and experts focusing on branding and designed to empower the participants in their efforts to catch the new wave and master trends in the intimate communication between the brand and the target audience.
How to convey a message, create an integrated campaign, and spark communication between people will be discovered in another module titled Communication Planning. Delivered by Direct Media Serbia’s Media Planning Director Marija Matić, this module aims sift through modern communication—from traditional mass media to hyperinividualism and humans themselves as the media.. We’ll talk about two-way communication in the fragmented advertising world—is it possible and if so, what’s the path to success? The program is designed for advertising professionals and those who want to learn how and where to advertise for bigger results.
How are dreams turned into reality? We’ll get the answer to this question first hand on May 18 at the Direct Media Academy’s fourth festival day, which is reserved for Faris Yakob, a marketing consultant specializing in innovation who decided to live his dream, and Jonas Kjellberg, who probably never even dreamed that one dream would change the world of (tele)communications. They’ll bring a story about game changers, the road that needs to be travelled to innovate business and digitally transform. They’ll also explain why some companies, marketing agencies, and individuals are more innovative than others today and how we can learn from them and make our dreams come true.
Direct Media Academy was launched in 2012 as an internal education program. Over time, it grew, developed, and opened its door to everyone interested to take part. The program was designed by a team of Direct Media experts with the aim to share expertise and comprehensive insight into marketing communications with colleagues, partners, and entrepreneurs.
This year’s DMA slogan is dedicated the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King’s death.
