The organization SOS Children’s Villages Serbia recently initiated collection of regular monthly donations from citizens by way of standing order and/or direct debit. DIRECT MEDIA United Solutions was a pro bono communication partner in this campaign.
The initiative named What Color is your Heart? should enable all willing individuals to continuously support children without parental care in Serbia. During February, SOS representatives were available for citizens in public places. They were not accepting donations in cash, but offered the interested individuals a choice between standing bank orders or direct debit. Everyone who wants to continuously support children without parental care in Serbia, add becoming members of the Golden Heart Club. This encompasses regular monthly donations, with options to change the amount or cancel the membership, as well as monthly reports by e-mail about the activities of SOS Children‘s Villages.
On the occasion of the International Day of SOS Children‘s Villages, on June 25, SOS Children’s Villages organized a conference presenting the results of SOS Children’s Villages Serbia in 2018, as well as well as the results of the Career Center Strong Youth, which over the last three years supported more than 350 young people who grew up without parental care. In addition, SOS Children’s Villages Serbia presented a new program – YouthCan!, intended to support young people who are exiting social care.
SOS Children’s Villages Serbia is a humanitarian, non-profit organization, striving over the last 14 years to improve the quality of life for children and youth without parental care, until their economic independence. As this organization provides long-term support for children without parental care, up until their economic independence, the collected donations will help them to continue improving the lives of hundreds of children all around Serbia.
