From the start off her career, spanning over 25 years, Marijana has been actively involved in the data marketing industry. She is a marketing and data strategist, an expert in crafting new business solutions using available data and Data Science.
Her career began as a market researcher at the then-leading marketing research company, Mark-Plan, and continued at The Coca-Cola Company as a strategic manager for pre-search, research, and trends. She founded her first startup (Focus MR) in the year 2000, focusing on marketing research. Two years later, Focus MR was acquired by one of the leading global market research companies – GfK, where Marijana became the General Manager for the Adriatic region and later a member of the board of directors managing Custom Research in Central and Eastern Europe. She was responsible for developing advanced analytics projects and new data sources at the Central and Eastern European level. Since 2019, she has been the CEO and data strategist at her second startup (DATA DO), a company that develops an intriguing model – combining data science with market and consumer understanding to help companies discover new opportunities and increase revenue. In the field of data-driven strategic consulting, she has collaborated with numerous international and regional companies: Ahold Delhaize, The Coca-Cola Company, Erste, Nelt, Molson Coors, Carlsberg, Atlantic Brands, Lidl, KFC, Phoenix Pharma, etc… She holds a master’s in economics and is a board member of IAA, she is one of the founders of AcademIAA – module for marketing research and analytics.
